What the committee does

Looks after the housing of Members of Parliament and the accommodation, food, medical care and other amenities in the members' hostels. Its role is advisory.

  • Dealing with all questions relating to the accommodation of Members of Parliament.
  • Supervising the accommodation, food, medical care and other amenities in the members' hostels.
  • Its accommodation sub-committee advises on the allotment of housing to members.

The Speaker nominates the committee, of not more than 12 members including the chair.
