Alhaj Md. G.K. Gouse is the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) member of parliament elected from Habiganj-3 and a Whip in the 13th Parliament. This is his first term in Parliament. He is also chair of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
G.K. Gouse was born on 20 April 1968 in Shayestanagar village, Habiganj Sadar upazila. His father was the late Alhaj Golam Murtuza and his mother the late Alhaj Monjila Begum. By profession he is a businessman.
In local government he has served as mayor of Habiganj municipality. In party politics he is BNP's central organising secretary (Sylhet division). In August 2025 he was elected unopposed as president of Habiganj district BNP.
In the 13th parliamentary election held on 12 February 2026, he was elected a member of parliament for the first time, winning 142,348 votes with the sheaf of paddy symbol. He was later made a Whip of Parliament. He is married to Farhana Gouse Happy and is the father of two sons.
