Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party member of the 13th Parliament elected from Chattogram-6.
Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury is the member of parliament for Chattogram-6 (Raozan) in the 13th Parliament. This experienced politician of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has been elected member of parliament for the third time.
Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury was born on 29 April 1953. He is the son of A.K.M. Fazlul Quader Chowdhury and Selima Quader Chowdhury. Alongside politics he is involved in business; he was a director of the family-owned QC Container Line Limited, QC Shipping Limited and Dacca Dyeing.
He was first elected member of parliament for Chattogram-7 as the Jatiya Party candidate in the election to the 3rd Parliament in 1986. He later joined the BNP and was elected BNP member of parliament for Chattogram-6 in the election to the 7th Parliament in 1996. Within the party he has served as a vice-chairman of the BNP and as president of the Chattogram North district BNP.
In the election to the 13th Parliament held on 12 February 2026 he was elected member of parliament for Chattogram-6 as the BNP candidate, winning 112,237 votes with the sheaf of paddy symbol.
