Md. Abdul Mohit Talukder

Md. Abdul Mohit Talukder is the member of parliament for Bogura-3, which consists of Adamdighi and Dhupchanchia upazilas, in the 13th Parliament. He has entered Parliament for the first time, as the candidate nominated by the BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party).

He was born on 31 October 1958. His father is Haji Abdul Mazid Talukder and his mother Mst. Rabeya Mazid. He comes from a political family. His father, Abdul Mazid Talukder, and his brother, Abdul Momin Talukder, were also elected MP from Bogura-3.

Professionally, Mohit Talukder is an entrepreneur in the fisheries sector. He is the proprietor of G M Aqua Culture Limited. For his contribution to the production of pangas, tilapia and koi fish, he received a gold medal in the National Fisheries Award 2026. He received the award from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the central inaugural ceremony of National Fisheries Week on 16 August 2026.

In party politics he is involved with the Bogura district BNP. In the full committee of the Bogura district BNP approved in September 2023 he was made a vice-president. In the election to the 13th Parliament on 12 February 2026, after a close contest, he was elected with 127,406 votes under the sheaf of paddy symbol. The Jamaat-e-Islami candidate for the seat, Nur Mohammad, received 111,026 votes.
