Sarwar Jamal Nizam is the member of parliament for Chattogram-13 (Anwara and Karnaphuli upazilas) in the 13th Parliament. This experienced politician of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has been elected member of parliament for the fourth time.

Sarwar Jamal Nizam was born in Chattogram. He is the son of Alhaj Habibur Rahman and Alhajjani Anwara Nizam. Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam of the Bangladesh Navy is his brother.

On the BNP's nomination he was elected member of parliament three times in a row from the then Chattogram-12 seat, in the elections to the 6th Parliament in February 1996, the 7th Parliament in June 1996 and the 8th Parliament in 2001. Within the party he is a member of the BNP executive committee.

In the election to the 13th Parliament held on 12 February 2026 he was elected member of parliament for Chattogram-13 as the BNP candidate, winning 126,192 votes with the sheaf of paddy symbol.
