  • Examining every private member's Bill after it is introduced and before it is discussed, and classifying it by its nature, urgency and importance into one of two categories, A and B.
  • Recommending the time for discussing each private member's Bill and when each of its stages is to be completed.
  • Recommending the time limit for discussing private members' resolutions.
